VUP retains EcoVadis Silver — with a wider assessment scope
Date Published

VUP, a.s. has again been awarded the EcoVadis Silver medal, retained in June 2026 and placing us among the top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide.
Retaining a medal is not the same as winning one. This year we widened what we were judged on.
Rating: EcoVadis Silver medal
Awarded: June 2026, retained (first awarded 2025)
Percentile: top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis worldwide
Themes assessed: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, Sustainable Procurement
New in this cycle: Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions
Scorecard: available to customers on request
Expanded scope, met with confidence
In this cycle VUP extended its assessment to include Scope 1 (direct greenhouse gas emissions) and Scope 2 (indirect emissions from purchased energy). Retentions get harder when scope expands, because more of the business is measured. We raised the bar and met it.
Consistency across all four themes
EcoVadis assesses four areas: Environment, Labor and Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. Holding Silver across a second cycle shows our management systems work repeatably, not once.
What it means for your supply chain
For customers and partners, the rating is independent, third-party confirmation that VUP operates to internationally recognised sustainability principles. It supports your own ESG reporting and responsible-sourcing requirements, and sits alongside our ISO 9001:2015 certification, Responsible Care commitment and SNAS-accredited laboratories.
Our EcoVadis Silver retention reflects the repeatable quality that VUP delivers across the full breadth of sustainability standards we are assessed against. It is all the more notable in a year where we have expanded our scope to include Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions reporting — raising the bar we set for ourselves, while continuing to meet it.
