Accredited Analytical, Technical-Safety & Environmental Services

The ATBEL (Analytical, Technical-Safety, and Environmental Laboratories) division is a specialized testing center within VUP, a.s., providing expert analytical services to both internal R&D projects and external partners. We deliver reliable, accredited results under SNAS Certificate No. S-118 (ISO/IEC 17025) and ISO 9001, ensuring the highest standards of quality and precision. Our services are led by division head Ing. Ľudovít Žiak, PhD.

Chromatographic Analysis

Advanced separation techniques for precise composition analysis, impurity identification, and trace analysis. We utilize Gas Chromatography (GC, GC-MS) for VOC determination (e.g., PV3341 for automotive), High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), and Isotachophoresis (ITP) for anion determination (chlorides, sulfates). We also offer custom methodology development to meet your specific needs.

Spectroscopic Analysis

A comprehensive suite of spectroscopic techniques for substance identification, structural elucidation, and quantitative analysis. Our capabilities include Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) for metals, FT-IR and NMR for structural confirmation, and UV/VIS spectrometry for quantitative analysis and color determination (APHA, Gardner).

Physical & Technical-Safety Testing

Accredited determination of physical and technical-safety parameters essential for regulatory compliance (REACH) and safety data sheets. We test according to international standards, including melting point (OECD 102), boiling point (OECD 103), density (OECD 109), vapor pressure (OECD 104), flash point (A.9), and flammability of solids (A.10).

Titrimetric & Gravimetric Analysis

Classic and robust wet chemistry techniques for reliable quantitative analysis. Our services include Karl Fischer titration for water content (ISO 760), acidity number (DIN 51558), hydroxyl number (DIN 53240-2), iodometric titration for peroxides, and gravimetric determination of moisture, ash, and non-volatile residues.
